Daily Field Report

On site every day · The record is the deliverable
Approach
How we work
We join your team on site: present every day, technically grounded, and focused on your schedule, budget, and quality targets.
Client advocacy is central to this role. We monitor contractor compliance with drawings and specifications, escalate problems before they compound, and ensure your priorities drive decisions.
Quality in Action™ on a construction site means not waiting for a punch list. We flag non-conformances during installation, when correction is straightforward. A defect caught during construction costs a fraction of the cost after the systems are enclosed and energized.
Risk ahead of the change order. We track schedule, budget, safety, and quality simultaneously, and surface emerging problems before they become formal change orders.
Scope
What we cover

- Site logistics and material staging observation
- Contractor performance tracking against contract requirements.
- Photographic progress documentation and daily reporting
Engineering Support
- Design review and constructability assessment during preconstruction
- RFI management, response tracking, and design clarification coordination
- Submittal and shop drawing review and material procurement tracking
- Change order evaluation, scope validation, and cost impact assessment
- Value engineering recommendations that protect performance while controlling cost
MEP and Owner-Furnished Equipment
The systems that define whether your facility performs. We observe and verify their installation from delivery through startup.
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installation observation and verification.
- Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment tracking from order through installation
- Critical equipment installation verification - chillers, generators, UPS, switchgear
- Base building and tenant fit-out interface review
- Equipment startup support and commissioning interface
Scheduling and Project Controls
- Critical path review, milestone tracking, and three-week look-ahead review
- Earned value management (EVM) and schedule performance monitoring
- Contractor recovery schedule review and recommendations
- Long-lead procurement coordination to prevent material-driven delays
Project Administration

The building's monitoring and automation layer. Gaps here often stay hidden until the building is occupied.
- Building Management System (BMS) design review and installation verification
- Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) integration, graphics, and sequence of operations review
- Points list, device addressing, and network architecture review
- Energy Management System (EMS) programming validation and optimization recommendations
Commissioning Program Management

Contract structures
Delivery methods we work in
We adapt to the contract structure you are already in. Each delivery method puts the owner in a different position relative to risk and control. We adjust our approach accordingly.
- Design-Build (DB): One team holds both design and construction. Your negotiating power is highest before the contract is signed. We give you the technical read you need to hold them to the design intent after it is.
- Design-Bid-Build (DBB): Separate design and construction contracts. More owner control over design, but the transition between phases is where gaps appear. We bridge it.
- Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR): The builder is brought in early and commits to a guaranteed maximum price. We validate that the number is real and that scope creep does not erode your protections as the work progresses.
- EPCM: You hold the contracts; the EPCM contractor directs the work. We verify progress and quality in the field and flag risks to your position.
- Fast-Track: Design and construction run in parallel to compress schedule. We flag conflicts between phases before they become rework.
